General Manager – Sofia

Our Client is seeking a General Manager for a research office based in Sofia. The successful candidate will work closely with company’s global management team in managing the office.

Primary Responsibilities (include, but not limited to the following:

  • The General Manager will be responsible for managing the Sofia team.
  • Motivating research staff to maximize productivity and creativity.
  • Working with research directors in US and in other countries to help the researchers in Sofia achieve top performance.
  • Creating a working environment of enthusiasm, entrepreneurship and collegiality.
  • Recruiting top research talent and managing accounting, legal and other general and administrative tasks.

Candidate Requirement:

  • Master degree or higher in engineering, science or mathematics is required; a technical degree from a leading university is a plus.
  • MBA is desirable.
  • 10 or more years of experience managing professional staffs, including quantitative finance researchers, engineers, mathematicians, and/or research scientists is preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and leadership skills.
  • Ability to promote the company, and hire top talent from the best universities in Sofia and in other countries.
  • Experience working in a quantitative research department is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial experience is a plus.

General Manager – A global leading Investment management firm to be based in Singapore

The successful candidate will work closely with the senior management of the company in managing the entity.

Job Responsibilities (include, but not limited to the following):

  • Motivate staff to maximize productivity and creativity. 
  • Work closely with the CEO and members of the Executive Committee in managing all important aspects of the entity.
  • Work closely with the CIO in supervising local portfolio managers.
  • Work closely with the CTO in supervising local technical staff.
  • Work closely with the COO/CLO/CFO in managing accounting and administrative tasks.
  • Create a working environment of enthusiasm, entrepreneurship and collegiality.
  • Recruit top portfolio managers and technical support staff.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from a leading university; MBA is a plus
  • 5 or more years of experience managing at least 10- 20 professionals, including portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, engineers or scientists.
  • Strong work ethic, can lead by example

  • Fluent in English.

Senior Associate, Portfolio Management Group to be based in Greenwich, Connecticut and New York – United States

The successful candidates will work under the guidance of our portfolio managers and Chief Investment Officer. After gaining enough experience, Senior Associates may be promoted to Portfolio Manager, and begin to manage their own investment portfolio. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENT –

  • Ph. D or M.S. degree from a top tier institution in a highly analytical field, such as Mathematics, Operations Research, Optimization, Electrical Engineering, Financial Engineering, Computer Science and Physics
  • Interest/background in finance, demonstrated by coursework in economics or finance
  • Solid programming skill (C++/Python/Perl) is a strong plus
  • Ability to work independently and innovate
  • Understanding of optimization theory and algorithms (including dynamic programming, large-scale linear and non-linear programming, interior point methods, genetic algorithms, simulated annealing and robust optimization) is a plus
