We are seeking a Country Manager for our regional research office based in Russia – Moscow.
Primary Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will work closely with our global management team in managing the regional office.
- The Country Manager will be responsible for managing the Moscow team.
- Motivating research staff to maximize productivity and creativity.
- Working with research directors in US and in other countries to help the researchers in Russia achieve top performance.
- Creating a working environment of enthusiasm, entrepreneurship and collegiality.
- Recruiting top research talent and managing accounting and other general and administrative tasks.
- Act as local director, handle all office-related issues and ensure smooth day-to-day running of the office and ensure news flow to local staff
- Manage all corporate projects, liaising with professional advisors where appropriate
- Cross departmental co-ordination of employee salaries, benefits, bonuses and assist with local recruitment processes
- Plan and enable team specific and office training, team building and social activities
- Prepare and follow local corporate/office budgets/forecasts
- Ensure compliance with all local regulatory and corporate governance requirements.
Job Qualification:
- Master degree or higher in engineering, science or mathematics required; a technical degree from a leading university from Russia or any other European or US University is preferred.
- MBA or Phd is a plus.
- 10 or more years of experience managing professional staffs, including quantitative finance researchers, engineers, mathematicians, and/or research scientists.
- Strong work ethic and leadership.
- Ability to promote the company, and hire top talent from the best universities in Russia and in other countries.
- Experience working in a research department is a plus. and
- Entrepreneurial experience is a plus.
