Our Client is seeking a General Manager for a research office based in Milan. The successful candidate will work closely with company’s global management team in managing the office.
Job Responsibilities (include, but not limited to the following:
- The General Manager will be responsible for managing the Milan team.
- Motivating research staff to maximize productivity and creativity.
- Working with research directors in US and in other countries to help the researchers in Milan achieve top performance.
- Creating a working environment of enthusiasm, entrepreneurship and collegiality.
- Recruiting top research talent and managing accounting, legal and other general and administrative tasks.
Job Qualifications:
- Master degree or higher in engineering, science or mathematics is required; a technical degree from a leading university is a plus.
- MBA is desirable.
- 10 or more years of experience managing professional staffs, including quantitative finance researchers, engineers, mathematicians, and/or research scientists is preferred.
- Strong work ethic and leadership skills.
- Ability to promote the company, and hire top talent from the best universities in Milan and in other countries.
- Experience working in a quantitative research department is a plus.
- Entrepreneurial experience is a plus.
